Mountain View Visit - Awesome

Spent 3 lovely nights at an Air BNB in MountainView, Arkansas.  My parents brought me here back in 1985.  Still much the same!

The Air BNB is on the square where everyone meets & above a music store.

The first evening was quiet, but we still found a few "pickers" sharing their talent.

The next day, we took a tour of the beautiful Blanchard Springs Caverns.  Our guide said it had been called the most beautiful cave in the US.  Not sure about that (we haven't been to them all!!), but it is for sure one of the top.  The NFS is doing a fabulous job maintaining it & sharing it with any lucky visitor.
That evening we enjoyed listening to a larger group.  Listened for about an hour.  Great fun.

The last day we spent wandering the Ozark Folk Center.  Extremely interesting State Park & even comfortable since each venue is in an air conditioned building (except the blacksmith & the outdoor auditorium).  Found several of the same local entertainers from our stop last night - Junior (our favorite singer!!), Dave, Renee, & Roger.  Our favorite was the Copper shop where the owner/operator showed us how she brings out 16 different colors on the copper just by varying the heat.  Awesome!

Spent our last evening listening to 2 different venues - one indoors at a small RV park & one in the gazebo outside our own Air BNB!

What a fun way to finish up our summer travels!
