Mountain View Visit - Awesome

Spent 3 lovely nights at an Air BNB in MountainView, Arkansas.  My parents brought me here back in 1985.  Still much the same!

The Air BNB is on the square where everyone meets & above a music store.

The first evening was quiet, but we still found a few "pickers" sharing their talent.

The next day, we took a tour of the beautiful Blanchard Springs Caverns.  Our guide said it had been called the most beautiful cave in the US.  Not sure about that (we haven't been to them all!!), but it is for sure one of the top.  The NFS is doing a fabulous job maintaining it & sharing it with any lucky visitor.
That evening we enjoyed listening to a larger group.  Listened for about an hour.  Great fun.

The last day we spent wandering the Ozark Folk Center.  Extremely interesting State Park & even comfortable since each venue is in an air conditioned building (except the blacksmith & the outdoor auditorium).  Found several of the same local entertainers from our stop last night - Junior (our favorite singer!!), Dave, Renee, & Roger.  Our favorite was the Copper shop where the owner/operator showed us how she brings out 16 different colors on the copper just by varying the heat.  Awesome!

Spent our last evening listening to 2 different venues - one indoors at a small RV park & one in the gazebo outside our own Air BNB!

What a fun way to finish up our summer travels!

Favorite time of the Year - Vashon Island!!!

After enjoying RoundARama,

we headed to Texas to park our RV for a few days

before flying to Seattle for our favorite time of the year.  Our annual visit to Vashon Island

We do a little computer work while enjoying the view & get to take some walks on the beach & through the woods.  Picking black berries!  They are a little smaller this year - there hasn't been much rain.  But still juicy & sweet.

Fun in July!

Curt & Tammy's Pre-ICBDA Weekend!!!

Arrived from a drive across from Texas.  Parked on Curt's pad, in front of their home.  Hot & humid for the weekend, but great floor inside for dancing!

Had a wonderful 4th of July dinner first!  Spent some time relaxing & enjoying life & being proud to be an American!!

ICBDA in Orlando was fabulous!!!

Galveston - Family Cruise, Jun 2019!

😊  Woo Hoo!  Going on a Carnival Cruise with Family!

1st Day! - Boarding

We joined my nephew, 2 nieces & their families for a 6 night Carnival Freedom cruise out of Galveston.  Our first time to be on a family cruise!  Looking forward to it!  We all rendezvoused at the nearby Target & caravan-ed to the Port!

Dealt with the masses boarding the ship & survived!  We're all wearing matching Tshirts that say
"Oh Ship - it's a Family Trip!"

Here we are!  Going aboard!!!

Watching for dolphins!  There were 2 shadowing us!

After the mandatory mustard (really muster!) drill, we met on deck 10 to watch the sail off from Galveston.   Such hard work, it's deserving of a little snooze!

We invited everyone up to enjoy our wrap around balcony before dinner.

George & I did a little dancing!

After dinner several of us headed to the Red Frog pub & played some games!  Great First Day!!!

2nd Day - at Sea!

Everybody explored & ate & played & got used to the ship.

3rd Day! - Costa Maya, Mexico

Zach swimming with the dolphin

George & I were supposed to go snorkeling, but it was too windy & the excursion was canceled.  Worked out well, because we ended up being able to see Patrick, Julie, Zach, Kelley, Tara, & Maddie swim with the Dolphin!
