Carnival Dream Cruise - Boarding & 1st Sea Day

Carnival Dream Cruise - Boarding & Sea Day

The boarding process was pretty simple.  The hardest part was for George.  He dropped me off & went to park the car, then he found the shuttle line would take more than an hour to get him back to the ship - standing in full sun!  So he walked back.  They let us in the terminal line a little before our time & it was easy peasy.  We had used the Verifly app, so the health check in was a breeze.  They didn't even flag my carry on for the 3 small Black Box wines, so we went straight on through.  Passport check was easy, so all in all, on board in less than an hour.  Our cabin was not ready, so first we went to do the muster station check in and then we found a seat in the buffet & ate while we waited.

Spent a few hours getting things sorted in the cabin and then enjoyed the sail away from our massive wraparound balcony!  Love it!  Was worried that the 6th deck would not be high enough, but other than the engine shuddering when we start/stop & go sideways, it is perfect.  Saw dolphins on our way out.

We have early seating in the 3rd deck dining room.  We were assigned to a table for 10 and had 4 couples including us.  One couple decided to move so that they could sit with their traveling buddies.  We enjoyed the company of the other 2 couples all the rest of the cruise (Joe & Patty and Dennis & Barbara).  Tried the Indian food on the menu, but it was not very good.  The best part of dinner was a lovely young Indian magician.  He came & entertained us almost every night Ritvik Upadhyay.  https://www.ritvikupadhyay.com/   We really enjoyed him.

After dinner we went to the comedy lounge for one of the PG early shows & then on to the theater for the Welcome show.  Just getting to know the ship.  Back to the room, we tried to get pictures of the beautiful starry night, but it doesn't photo too well!  It was gorgeous though!!

The next day at sea was lovely.  Slept in & enjoyed the gorgeous views from our balcony.  The water was like glass.

Dinner that evening was great fun.  Food was okay.  Got a professional photo made since it was a dress up evening.  The guys performed as usual.  Great fun.

After the Theater show, we went back to our cabin to find our first towel animal!  So nice to be back on board a cruise!!!
