Carnival Dream Cruise - Freeport, Bahamas

Tuesday, 7 June 2022 - 

Woke up at 7am when the ship started shuddering as we slipped into the port.  Annoying way to start the morning!!!  But beautiful view outside the window!!!

The positive side of the early wakeup was plenty of time to go have breakfast!  Not much of a crowd, so we even got to have omelets!  And they were really really good!  But no slices of bacon!!  Really????

Debarked the ship easily & down to where we were supposed to meet our excurions rep.  No one around!  Wandered a bit & finally found a cruise ship guy on a cell phone.  Asked him about it & he said the snorkeling excursions were canceled.  He was annoyed & waved me off to someone at a booth.  We went over there & they confirmed all snorkeling trips were canceled, no explanation & nothing else available!!  Back upstairs I looked & there were some nice looking bird tours, but all were 9am, so obviously it was too late.  Next time!!  

Back to our cabin & we spent a lazy day reading & relaxing.  With occasional forays out to get food (George stood in line for an hour & a half for Mongolian & I went for pizza which took a half hour & was not worth it!!!!) & drink & get some pictures.  Watched as we sailed away from Freeport!!

Another nice dinner.  It's not the best, but it's enjoyable & we like our dinner mates.  Had a strange single guy show up - James.  He was big into Kareoke, so went to listen.  It was pathetic!!!!!  No more PG early comedians & no Theater show.  Only 1 musical group we like - the Carnival band & they weren't playing anywhere.  Several of the venues are closed.  There is a couple that sing, kinda English folksy - not danceable.  There are 2 guys that sing CW - they are horrid!!!!

Back to the cabin to watch a Harry Potter movie.  The menagerie is growing!  Made a couple of trips down to refill our wine.  Still enjoying the cruise.
